Greens senator accuses party of fake sisterhood in leadership row

Original: steph hodgins-may

Greens senator Steph Hodgins-May has criticised her own party over its leadership outcome, saying what she called a 'fake sisterhood' within the Greens effectively handed the leadership to a man. The comments, published by Adelaide Now, point to internal tensions over gender and power in the party as it settles on a new leader.

Why now: Public criticism from within the Greens over gender politics in its leadership contest is drawing attention.
