AnyPS5 tool brings PS5 games close to running on PC

Original: anyps5

AnyPS5, a community project translating PlayStation 5 GPU shader instructions for PC, is drawing attention after reports it has hit 100% shader instruction translation, with other estimates at 96-97%. Developers have reportedly ported nearly 90% of the PS5 game library, and related work also enables PS2 and original Xbox games on jailbroken consoles. The topic is trending in several countries.

Why now: Rapid progress on PS5-to-PC compatibility has major implications for PC gaming and console exclusivity.
