Premier League executives rule out vote on expelling Man City
Original: 'A risk not worth taking' - PL execs not expecting clubs to vote for Man City expulsion
Premier League executives do not expect clubs to vote for the expulsion of Manchester City, describing such a move as 'a risk not worth taking'. The comments come amid ongoing fallout from the financial rules case against the club, with officials apparently preferring to avoid a divisive vote among member clubs. Attention now turns to how the league pursues any sanctions instead.
Why now: Manchester City's financial charges case remains one of the biggest running stories in English football, and any talk of expulsion is highly contentious.
