Original: # BasketBall . "c'est une injustice" : le président du club de basket de Chauray réagit à l'absence d'aide de Niort Aggl
The president of the Chauray basketball club, in the Niort area of western France, has publicly called the community's decision to withhold support "an injustice". The club had sought financial help from Niort Agglo, the local intercommunal authority, but received none, prompting the club leader to speak out against what he sees as unfair treatment of grassroots sport.
Why now: Local anger over public funding decisions for community sports clubs is drawing attention in the region.
