Australia keep settled side in South Africa to move past 2018
Original: Australia stick to familiar formula in South Africa as they seek to bury demons of 2018
Australia have named a familiar line-up for their cricket tour of South Africa, resisting changes as they return to the country where the 2018 ball-tampering scandal damaged the team's reputation. The tour is being framed as a chance for the squad to lay that episode to rest, with selectors betting on continuity rather than experimentation to get results on the field.
Why now: Australia are touring South Africa for the first time since the 2018 sandpaper scandal, prompting reflection on the team's past and progress since.
