Sierra Screamin 3D: The 1990s Graphics Card a Game Studio Actually Sold
Original: Sierra Screamin 3D Was the Only Graphics Card a Game Studio Ever Sold Back in the 1990s
Sierra's Screamin 3D is being recalled as a rare oddity of 1990s PC gaming hardware: a graphics card marketed and sold by a game studio rather than a hardware company. Sierra, then one of the biggest adventure game publishers, released the card in the mid-1990s before exiting the hardware business, and retro gaming fans are revisiting its short-lived experiment.
Why now: Retro PC gaming nostalgia often resurfaces stories of unusual 1990s hardware like Sierra's one-off graphics card.
