Mauro Júnior rules out Netherlands and fulfils his dream

Original: mauro júnior

PSV defender Mauro Júnior says his decision is definitive: he will not play for the Dutch national team, calling the matter settled, and describes himself as having made a dream come true by committing elsewhere. The statement ends long speculation about which country the Brazilian-born left-back, long on Oranje's radar, would represent at international level.

Why now: The fullback has publicly and definitively ruled himself out of selection for the Netherlands, closing a long-running nationality debate.
