Original: Tristan Harris’ Tech Nonprofit Is Laying Off Most Staff and Going ‘Founder-Led’ https:// fed.brid.gy/r/https://www.wire
The Center for Humane Technology, the nonprofit co-founded by former Google design ethicist Tristan Harris, is laying off most of its staff and shifting to a 'founder-led' operating model, according to Wired. The move marks a major downsizing for the organization best known for 'The Social Dilemma' and its criticism of the tech industry. Details on how many employees are affected or the reasons behind the restructuring were not included in the collected evidence.
Why now: The reported layoffs and restructuring at a prominent tech-criticism nonprofit are newsworthy given its high public profile.
