The latest /e/OS version 4.3 restores Seedvault as the built-in backup tool for the de-Googled Android system. Users welcome the return of the feature but note that usability has improved only in a few areas, leaving much of the backup experience unchanged. The update matters to the privacy-focused /e/OS and Murena community, which has long awaited a reliable open-source backup option for Android devices.
Why now: The release of /e/OS 4.3 with restored Seedvault support is new to users of the privacy-focused Android fork, who are discussing its limited usability improvements.
Evidence
# Android #/e/OS # Murena # Backup # SeedVault # Linux https://… · gnulinux@social.anoxinon.de · 5
