Bit Reactor, the studio behind Star Wars Zero Company, has begun rehiring developers it furloughed before the game's launch. Reports say more than half of the staff previously let go have been brought back onto payroll so far, with the studio indicating more returns may follow as work on the game continues.

Why now: The partial reversal of layoffs ahead of a major Star Wars release is unusual in the games industry, drawing attention to the studio's staffing situation.
