Trump Seeks Official Presidential Retreat at Palm Beach Club

Original: camp david

Donald Trump wants to establish an official presidential retreat at his Palm Beach golf club, according to reporting picked up widely in the United States and abroad. The idea is drawing attention because Camp David in Maryland has long served as the presidency's official country retreat, and adding a second one at a property Trump personally owns raises questions about mixing presidential duties with his private business interests.

Why now: New reporting about Trump converting part of his private club into an official presidential retreat is sparking debate about conflicts of interest.
