Original: SpaceX Just Got Permission to Compete With AT&T and Verizon From Orbit
SpaceX has received regulatory approval to provide direct-to-cell satellite service in the United States, putting it in competition with terrestrial carriers AT&T and Verizon. The permission allows the company to serve mobile devices from orbit, a step in its plan to eliminate cellular dead zones using its Starlink satellite constellation.
