Commentary Questions Diversity in the Space Force
Original: Diversity in the Space Force is Exactly What You Might Imagine | by William Spivey | The Polis | Oct, 2026
William Spivey has published a commentary arguing that diversity in the US Space Force is 'exactly what you might imagine', a pointed framing suggesting the newest military branch falls short on representation. The piece, appearing in The Polis, adds to ongoing debate about how far diversity, equity and inclusion efforts extend into America's armed services, particularly its most recent and smallest branch.
Why now: Continued political debate over diversity and inclusion policies in the US military is drawing attention to commentary on the Space Force's record.
