The Athletic has released its weekly NFL QB Index leaderboard, ranking Brock Purdy as the league's top quarterback and calling him the MVP so far. The ranking also argues that Panthers quarterback Bryce Young is performing better than most fans and analysts give him credit for, placing him higher than expected in the season's quarterback standings.
Why now: NFL fans are debating quarterback rankings and MVP contenders mid-season, especially Purdy's rise and Young's underrated play.
