EU Parliament Urges Strategy Against Islamist Entryism
Original: EU Parliament Calls for Strategy Against Islamist Entryism and Muslim Brotherhood Networks
The European Parliament has called on the European Union to develop a strategy against Islamist entryism and networks linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. The move has drawn attention across Europe, with supporters framing it as a defence of democratic institutions and critics warning it could fuel stigmatisation of Muslim communities.
Why now: The parliamentary call is new and touches a sensitive, ongoing debate over security, integration and political Islam in Europe.
