French artist Simon Laveuve is showing new miniature sculptures depicting post-apocalyptic dwellings built at 1/35 scale and anchored in rock. The intricate pieces imagine survivors' makeshift homes in a collapsed world, rendered in painstaking detail. Art commentators are sharing the work admiringly, drawn to the contrast between miniature size and the enormity of the end-of-the-world subject matter.
Why now: The release of a new series of strikingly detailed miniature apocalypse sculptures has caught the attention of the online art community.
