An artist is venting that Krita, the open-source painting application, is now consuming 12 GiB of RAM on their machine, sharing a video about the problem. The complaint touches on the app's heavy memory use when working on animation and original-character artwork, a common frustration among digital artists running large canvases or animation projects on Krita.
Why now: Digital artists widely share frustrations about resource-heavy creative software, making memory complaints about Krita relatable and discussion-worthy.
