The European Parliament has called on EU member states to develop a joint strategy to counter what it describes as infiltration by the Muslim Brotherhood. The appeal, reported by Al Arabiya English, frames the movement as a security and political concern for Europe. Discussion is likely to focus on how far the EU should go in designating and monitoring Islamist networks, a topic that has divided lawmakers and member states before.
