Cadastro Único system to go offline Friday

Original: cadunico

The Cadastro Único system, Brazil's main registry for social programme benefits, will be unavailable next Friday the 9th, according to a notice from CGN. Families relying on the registry to update data or access benefits such as Bolsa Família are being warned to plan ahead, as no updates or consultations will be possible during the outage.

Why now: Beneficiaries of Brazilian social programmes are being alerted in advance so they can avoid problems with registrations and benefit access during the outage.
