Bezos warns US must beat China in moon race
Original: 'WE HAVE TO BEAT CHINA': Bezos issues stark warning about the moon race
Jeff Bezos has issued a stark warning that the United States must beat China in the race to return to the moon. The Amazon founder's remarks frame lunar exploration as a strategic competition between the two powers, adding his voice to growing debate in Washington over the pace of NASA's Artemis programme and China's own crewed lunar ambitions.
Why now: Renewed attention on US-China space competition and the timeline for returning astronauts to the moon.
