Hamlet tours Albuquerque breweries in unconventional staging
Original: Hamlet takes a spirited crawl through Albuquerque breweries
A production of Hamlet is being performed across breweries in Albuquerque, taking Shakespeare's classic out of the theatre and into taprooms. The format brings the tragedy to casual, local audiences in an unconventional crawl through the city's brewing venues, drawing attention as a fresh way to stage classic drama.
Why now: The novelty of staging Shakespeare in breweries rather than a traditional theatre is drawing local interest.
