Original: Palestinian mother of six, Ikhlas Al-Dahli, from Umm Al-Khair in the occupied West Bank, was detained by Israeli settler
Ikhlas Al-Dahli, a Palestinian mother of six from the village of Umm Al-Khair in the occupied West Bank, was detained and taken to Israel's Hebron police station after confronting settlers. According to reports, the settlers had used barbed fencing to confine her family's sheep in a pen, with army backing cited, before she was taken into custody.
Why now: Ongoing violence and settler activity in the West Bank amid the Gaza war keeps such detentions in the spotlight
