The Bucharest Scenography Biennale returns from 16 to 25 October, running in parallel with the National Theatre Festival (FNT). Around 100 projects were selected from more than 300 entries by artists from over 40 countries, presented across five venues in the city. This edition's theme focuses on women, oppression, resistance and knowledge.

Why now: The biennale's return alongside the FNT with an international selection and a socially engaged theme is fresh cultural news for Romanian theatre audiences.
