Bhutan Urged to Free All Remaining Political Prisoners
Original: Bhutan Should Release All Remaining Political Prisoners
Human rights advocates are calling on Bhutan to release all remaining political prisoners held since periods of political unrest in the country. The appeal argues that continued detention of prisoners arrested for peaceful political activity is unjust and that Bhutan should account for those still behind bars, an issue that has drawn little international attention despite ongoing advocacy by rights groups.
