Oxford Union restores uncensored Susan Abulhawa Gaza speech
The Oxford Union has reinstated the full, uncensored recording of Palestinian-American author Susan Abulhawa's speech on Gaza after it was previously edited. The restoration of the address has drawn attention from commentators tracking how UK institutions handle speech on the Israel-Gaza war, with the Middle East-focused outlet The New Arab reporting the move.
Why now: Debates over censorship and pro-Palestinian speech at British institutions remain highly charged, so the Union's reversal is being closely watched.
