Wimbledon's military security personnel have said they would 'love to sort out' social media influencers, a comment made after a series of disruptions at the US Open where self-promoting antics interrupted matches. The remarks underline the All England Club's determination to keep on-court and spectator behaviour in check at this year's Championships, drawing attention to growing tensions between tennis traditions and influencer culture.
Why now: Fresh interruptions by influencers at the US Open have put a spotlight on how tournaments, especially Wimbledon, plan to police similar stunts.
