Writers vent about inevitable typos in published work
Original: @ writingcommunity @ bookstodon @ poetry OF COURSE there are typos # community # literature # bookstodon # DigitalHumani
Members of online writing and book communities are commiserating over the inevitability of typos, with the blunt declaration that of course published texts contain errors. The exchange touches on the pressures facing writers, editors and proofreaders, linking small textual mistakes to broader questions of labor conditions, accessibility and ethics in publishing and education. Readers and authors appear to be responding with a mix of humor and sympathy.
Why now: Writers and editors are bonding over the shared, relatable frustration that no amount of proofreading catches every typo.
