Tony Romo's pro golf bid ends in confusing disqualification
Original: Tony Romo’s latest pro-golf quest ended with curious DQ. Here’s what happened
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was disqualified from a professional golf event under circumstances described as curious, cutting short his latest attempt to compete against tour professionals. Reports say the disqualification stemmed from an administrative or rules-related issue rather than his play, and golf fans are debating whether the ruling was fair or overly harsh on the part-time competitor.
Why now: Romo is a high-profile former NFL star whose rare attempts at professional golf always draw attention, and a strange disqualification adds controversy.
