A number of US states have declined to support Apple Wallet's digital driver's license feature, meaning residents there cannot add their IDs to iPhones. The decision, reported by 9to5Mac, matters for drivers and commuters who expected phone-based identification to expand nationwide, and it raises questions about state control over digital ID adoption and privacy standards.
