Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton is increasing his involvement in the team's play-calling after a slow offensive start to the season, NFL.com reports. The move centers on second-year quarterback Bo Nix and an offense that has struggled to find rhythm early. Payton, a noted play-caller, is tightening his grip on game plans as Denver looks to get its season on track.

Why now: The Broncos' underwhelming offensive start is raising questions about coaching decisions and Bo Nix's development.
