The Fukuuka Kentei executive committee, backed by the Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has announced that "Fukuoka Entertainment 'Gakushu' LIVE 2nd Semester" will be held on December 12. The audience-participation show pairs popular Hakata-born VTuber Maizuru Yokoto with Fukuoka-based theatre troupe Banno Glove Galapagos Dynamos. The event is designed to teach attendees about Fukuoka's history, culture, food and tourism, extending the city's local-quiz certification programme into live entertainment.
Why now: The unusual pairing of a popular VTuber with a local theatre troupe for a city-backed edutainment event is newsworthy for fans and the Fukuoka community.
