htmx essay argues for a 'Yes, and' approach to the web
Original: Yes, and
A new essay published on the htmx site promotes a 'Yes, and' philosophy: rather than replacing the web's existing model wholesale, developers should build on top of HTML and hypermedia, extending what already works. The piece has drawn strong engagement among developers, with readers debating whether incremental improvement beats rewriting applications around JavaScript frameworks.
Why now: The htmx project's essays regularly spark debate in the developer community about web architecture, and this one landed amid ongoing arguments over hypermedia versus single-page frameworks.
