Elliot Page trends amid US trans healthcare protests

Original: elliot page

Elliot Page, the Canadian actor known for Juno and The Umbrella Academy and one of the most prominent transgender public figures, is being widely searched in the UK. The surge comes as attention focuses on transgender healthcare in the United States, where activists picketed NewYork-Presbyterian over hospitals restricting gender-affirming care for young people following deals with the Trump administration.

Why now: Page is a leading trans public figure, so searches for him rise whenever transgender healthcare and rights dominate the news.
