Original: SpaceX donation helps Anderson-Shiro CISD get ahead of bus seatbelt deadline

SpaceX has donated funds to Anderson-Shiro Consolidated Independent School District in Texas, allowing the district to install seatbelts on its school buses ahead of a state-mandated deadline. The contribution lets the small rural district comply with the requirement without straining its own budget, and local news coverage has highlighted the gift as an unusual example of a major space company supporting a rural school system.

Why now: A high-profile company donating to a small rural school district to meet a state bus safety mandate is an unusual and feel-good local story.
