Animal Welfare Group Targets Congress's Worst on Cruelty
Original: We’re Fighting to Oust the Worst of the Worst in Congress on Animal Cruelty
Animal Wellness Action says it is campaigning to unseat members of Congress it considers the worst on animal cruelty issues. The group, a US animal-protection organisation, frames the effort as holding lawmakers accountable for their records on animal welfare legislation. No specific candidates or races have been named in the announcement.
Why now: Animal-protection groups typically escalate anti-incumbent campaigns around election season to influence congressional races.
