Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko says the Ukrainian capital has entered 'survival mode' ahead of winter as Russian strikes intensify, and is advising residents to temporarily leave the city. The warning comes amid renewed attacks on energy and infrastructure, raising fears of a harsh season of blackouts and shortages for those who remain.
Why now: Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities have intensified heading into winter, reviving fears of a repeat of last year's infrastructure crisis.
