Palestinians across the occupied West Bank say this year has been the worst yet for Israeli settler attacks, with the olive harvest season only just beginning. Reporting by Al Jazeera documents settlers taking olive trees and disrupting a harvest that is central to Palestinian livelihoods and tradition. Residents describe rising violence and intimidation as farmers attempt to reach their groves, and fears that conditions will deteriorate further as the season continues.
Why now: The olive harvest season has started and reports of settler violence are intensifying, drawing renewed attention to conditions in the West Bank.
