Community Groups Demand Accountability Over U of T Protest Statement
Original: Community Groups Call For Accountability After U of T Protest Declares Itself an Extension of October 7 Terrorist Attacks
Jewish community organizations, led by the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, are calling for accountability after a protest at the University of Toronto that organizers described as an extension of the October 7 terrorist attacks. The groups say the declaration crosses a line and are urging the university and authorities to respond to what they characterize as glorification of terrorism on campus.
Why now: The explicit framing of a campus protest as an extension of the October 7 attacks has sparked demands for institutional action.
