Fewer Teens Identify as Gay or Bisexual
New data indicates that the share of teenagers identifying as gay or bisexual has declined. The finding is drawing attention and debate, with some viewing it as evidence of shifting attitudes among Gen Z and others questioning the methodology behind the numbers. Commenters are split on what the trend means for previous years of steadily rising identification.
Why now: The reported reversal of a years-long trend in teen sexual identity identification is surprising and politically charged.
