Alex Gleason, the developer behind the decentralised social protocol Nostr client and a figure known for controversial views on gender issues, is being promoted through a self-shared Nostr public key alongside Bitcoin hashtags. The post invites people to follow him on Nostr, the social network favoured by Bitcoin enthusiasts as an alternative to mainstream platforms.
Why now: Nostr promotion tied to Bitcoin circles and Gleason's polarising reputation is drawing discussion.
