Elon Musk's Western Canada separation comments spark rebuke
Original: elon musk quebec separation comments
Elon Musk has drawn attention with comments suggesting Alberta and Saskatchewan should separate from Canada. The exchange has fuelled broader discussion about Western alienation, Quebec separatism comparisons, and foreign figures weighing in on Canadian unity debates.
Why now: A high-profile figure publicly suggested Canadian provinces separate, prompting immediate rejection from provincial premiers.
