Ben Affleck's Netflix Thriller 'Animals' Panned by Critics
Original: ‘Animals’ Review: Ben Affleck’s Tedious New Netflix Thriller Is Quite Literally Just Bad TV
Reviews are in for 'Animals', the new Netflix thriller directed by and starring Ben Affleck, and critics are unimpressed. IndieWire calls the film tedious and 'quite literally just bad TV', suggesting it plays like a flat television production rather than a big-screen thriller. The harsh verdict is drawing attention as Affleck's latest directorial and acting effort lands on the streaming service.
Why now: A new Ben Affleck film just debuted on Netflix and the first reviews are sharply negative.
