Original: Trump Administration Cuts Off Access to a Major Immigration Program for Workers at Microsoft and Adobe https://www.wired
The Trump administration has cut off access to a major immigration program relied upon by workers at Microsoft and Adobe, according to Wired. The move represents a new front in the administration's crackdown on employment-based immigration, potentially affecting skilled tech employees whose status depends on the program. Details of which workers are affected and how the policy will be implemented remain limited.
Why now: A new immigration restriction directly hitting two of the largest US tech employers raises concerns for skilled foreign workers and the industry.
