Tottenham or Spurs? Name trends on both sides of the Atlantic

Original: spurs

The name 'Spurs' is drawing searches in the United States, Canada and France at the same time. In the US the term points to the San Antonio Spurs, with NBA outlets already speculating about injury situations ahead of upcoming games even without official reports. In Europe the same word refers to Tottenham Hotspur, keeping fans on both sides of the Atlantic debating which club is behind the surge.

Why now: The word 'Spurs' refers to both the San Antonio Spurs and Tottenham Hotspur, so sports fans in multiple countries are searching it simultaneously.
