Books or Bombs? French Students Protest NATO Spending
Original: Books or Bombs? France’s Student Revolt vs. NATO’s Spending Push https:// fed.brid.gy/r/https://www.pres senza.com/2026/
A report from Pressenza describes a student revolt in France set against NATO pressure for members to raise military spending, framing it as a choice between funding education and funding armaments. The article casts the protests as part of a wider European debate over rising defence budgets at the expense of social spending. Little independent detail beyond the report itself is currently available.
Why now: NATO's push for higher defence spending is a live political issue in France and Europe, and student protests against it are drawing attention.
