Polisario envoy accuses Moroccan diplomacy of stifling Sahrawi voices at UN
Original: Polisario Representative to UN: Disrupting pro-Sahrawi statements reflects Moroccan diplomacy’s inability to face facts
The Polisario Front's representative to the United Nations has accused Moroccan diplomacy of disrupting statements in support of the Sahrawi people, arguing the move reflects an inability to confront the facts of the Western Sahara dispute. The statement, carried by the Sahrawi news agency, underscores the continued diplomatic friction between Rabat and the Polisario Front over the territory's status.
Why now: Ongoing tensions over Western Sahara keep statements by Polisario diplomats at the UN newsworthy.
