Neymar backs Lamine Yamal for the Ballon d'Or

Original: neymar

Neymar has publicly endorsed Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, calling him "the best in the world" days before the Ballon d'Or ceremony. His Santos side are also in action, drawing 2-2 with Flamengo and then beating Fluminense as they push for a G-5 spot in the Brazilian Serie A. The Spanish-language coverage has sparked debate over the pick ahead of the award.

Why now: His Ballon d'Or endorsement of Lamine Yamal landed just days before the ceremony and coincided with a good run for Santos.
