ICE Emails Reveal Plan to Use Palantir Tool for Voter Fraud Probes
Original: ICE Emails Discuss Using Palantir-Supported Tool to Investigate Voter Fraud https://www.wired.com/story/ice-emails-discu
Internal emails from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement show officials discussed using a data investigation tool supported by Palantir to look into voter fraud, according to reporting by Wired. The disclosures are drawing attention because voter fraud enforcement typically falls outside ICE's mandate, raising questions about the immigration agency's expanding role in domestic election-related investigations and the growing reliance on Palantir's surveillance-linked technology across federal agencies.
Why now: The reporting raises fresh concerns about mission creep at ICE and the expanding use of Palantir technology for politically sensitive domestic investigations.
