Thousands of buttons are being offered for free in Auckland, with people urged to bring their own bags to take home as many as they like. The giveaway, covered by RNZ's lifestyle section, has drawn attention from crafters and sewers, with some sharing ideas for what to do with a large haul of buttons.
Why now: A free bulk giveaway of craft supplies is an unusual and practical opportunity that crafters are sharing widely.
