Fans balk at reboot of Fulci horror classic The Beyond

Original: The World Does Not Need a Reboot of Lucio Fulci’s Creepy Masterpiece ‘The Beyond’ We already endured a remake of Dario A

A proposed reboot of Lucio Fulci's 1981 cult horror film 'The Beyond' is drawing criticism from fans and commentators. Writing for Gizmodo, critics argue the world does not need another take on the eerie masterpiece, pointing to the poorly received remake of Dario Argento's 'Suspiria' as a cautionary example. Horror cinephiles are debating whether modern remakes can do justice to classic Italian giallo and zombie cinema.

Why now: News of a reboot of a beloved cult horror classic has sparked pushback from fans protective of Fulci's legacy.
